, Head of Quota Management (m/f/d)
About the Position
Since 2010, as an owner-managed tour operator, we have been committed to providing our customers with quality at affordable prices. At our headquarters in Koblenz on the Rhine, we employ around 300 colleagues. You can expect varied and exciting work in a modern workplace, a family-like corporate culture with flat hierarchies, and room for your ideas.
Do you want to do more than just manage operational processes—do you want to work with your team to actively shape the availability and bookability of our trips?
As a Group Leader for Allocation Management (m/f/d), you’ll take on technical and organizational responsibility for the department and develop your team to work independently and proactively. You’ll identify bottlenecks early on, secure additional hotel quotas, and ensure the availability of our travel products in a forward-looking and cost-effective manner—while also keeping planned promotional campaigns in mind. Your guiding question: How do we ensure availability before a request is even made?
Your Responsibilities
- You will take on the technical and organizational leadership of quota management, develop your team members, and establish a self-directed, proactive work style
- You will manage the availability of our car-based travel products and evolve quota planning from a reactive approach to a forward-looking, cost-effective management strategy
- You will analyze booking trends, occupancy rates, and request volumes; identify bottlenecks early on; and ensure availability for critical travel dates by securing additional room quotas
-
You maintain collaborative relationships with hotels, conduct confident negotiations regarding quota expansions, and develop solutions for blackout dates and cancellations
-
Together with Product Planning, Marketing, and Sales, you ensure the availability of advertised products and promptly initiate alternative measures in the event of shortages
-
You organize the prompt processing of requests, hotel responses, service changes, and last-minute inquiries, and work with the Customer Center to ensure proactive advice on alternatives
-
You develop needs-based support models for various hotel partners and product groups and drive the automation of standardized processes
-
You will manage the division using relevant key performance indicators and work closely with Purchasing, Product Management, the Customer Center, Marketing, and Sales
Your Profile
- Several years of professional experience in tourism, the hospitality industry, hotel sales, or tourism product management; ideally, experience in leading and developing employees
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a strong understanding of the interplay between availability, demand, advertising costs, and booking success
- Confidence, negotiation skills, and assertiveness—combined with empathy and a collaborative approach to working with hotel partners
- A passion for driving change, improving processes, and leading a team to measurably better results
- A structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work, as well as openness to digital systems and automation
